After losing her fiancé to a motorcycle accident, kind strangers helped Stephanie Lucas raise the money to extract and preserve sperm.
After a motorcycle accident left her fiancé brain-dead and on life support, Stephanie Lucas, 22, knew she still wanted to have the child they had always talked about [via Raw Story]. Lucas knew she didn't have much time to extract the sperm so she could still have Cameron Robinett's child, and she also didn't have the $6,000 needed for the procedure. She turned to GoFundMe to raise the money, and kind strangers donated above and beyond what was needed.
Lucas sees it as a way "to actually bring a part of Cameron, the amazing, handsome, silly, guy that I loved with my whole heart back to life!" Lucas will have a year to move forward with the procedure. To everyone who helped her reach her goal, she says, ""I will never be able to say it enough — thank you for your support. It is everything."
