After serving the man dinner, the father allegedly tied him to a chair and proceeded to burn his genitals with heated tongs until the man unexpectedly died.
The father turned himself in at the police station immediately after the incident. The Indian Express reports that the man said "he used to get furious whenever he saw the man happy with his family while his daughter was suffering," and did not mean to kill the man, only torture him.
According to police reports, the father demanded the man apologize for his actions, but the man only spat insults at him. Unable to contain his anger, the father decided to use physical force.
His teen daughter was reportedly raped after a home intrusion while her family was away. Her parents state that they did not know of the incident until she was taken to the hospital last week with morning sickness.
"We took her to a doctor and we were told that she is pregnant. We were shocked," her mother said.
The father is currently in judicial custody.
