Why are we allowing the media to "second" the political rhetoric calling for "equality" at a time in America where equal opportunity and equality under the law has never been higher? Still, we are told that the United States of America ranks behind most nations in "equality" even though we practically invented the concept when we penned our Bill of Rights and attached those notations to our law of the land. Think about that for moment.
Consider the audacity to somehow claim that things in the US aren't fair - why would we put up with that or allow these other nations to label us, or for us to falsely admit we fall down in the area of equality when we definitely don't. I know our President loves to tell us how important equality is, but he banters that term incorrectly - you see, he should not that we must maintain; "Equal Opportunity" and "Equal Under the Law" should NEVER be used as a battle cry for re-distribution or an attempt to make everyone equal at everything, that is against physics, nature, and what we know about organized successful human societies.
When there is a wider gap between the wealthy and the poor in the US, that is usually caused by making people weak and giving people money without any responsibility. They get that money, spend it and then the wealthy people who did work or provide the investments in the businesses that created the goods and products ends up with that money. The poor people having spent their free-money no longer have it and the producers do - just the way it should be, it rewards production, service, and doing, not sitting on one's buttocks.
One cannot correct a problem, not even a false-logic problem or non-challenge by creating more of what caused it in the first place. Free-markets create equal opportunity for all - those who hijack them, manipulate them or gather the masses to help them to power to redistribute are the cause of the problem. If you, disagree we me on these basic points, well then we'll have to agree to disagree, and you will be wrong, but I guess you are in good company, the President of the US also follows your misguided logic - or perhaps he's influenced your false beliefs.
Redistribution whether through socialism or the stealing of property in communism is making people unequal under the law, and in doing so, it only widens the gap and zaps the middle class, that's what's happening now. You see, I believe communism is horrible and has been a horrific cause of death and destruction - Dynasties, Czars, Stalin, Pol Pot - and that socialism has destroyed the wealth of nations, and nationalist socialism has risen to power incredibly evil men; Hitler - but mind you it started out as making things fair for all
Currently socialism is destroying economies as we speak; Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, Greece, Spain, Portugal, need more? Further, most of this banter about lack of "inequality" is really academic BS debating nonsensical circular economic and philosophical arguments, and its purveyors are or are being led by a socialist agenda - not good and certainly not good for American.
As an entrepreneur I know what works, I've engaged in free-markets and I know what doesn't - when people manipulate them or try to steal what I've earned. I know because I've watched it. I see it happening now in the US, it's not acceptable, there can be no justification and purporting communism as a solution is horse dung. That's my view. I give you the last word - leave a comment if you wish.
