Perseverance - Why It Is One Of The Most Important Aspects In Finding Friends

Expert Author Ken Johansson
We all have periods where things just don't seem to go our way and when all of our endeavors and goals seems to be slipping right through our fingers. At times like these it is fully understandable that you would like to give up. But it is important to remember that perseverance is one of the most important aspects when it comes to finding and making friends.
It doesn't matter what kind of task you are undertaking, putting in enough effort will most likely always lead to you succeeding at what you are trying to achieve but it is hard, and understandably so, to keep this in mind when things aren't really going the way we want them to.
The important thing to remember here is that while it might not seem like you are making any progress whatsoever this might not necessarily be the case. Putting it another way, you might feel like you are wasting your time but it might just be that you haven't had your breakthrough yet or maybe the people you hang out with haven't fully warmed up to you.
We tend to expect to see progress right away or at the very least in a short amount of time and while there are cases where this occurs it is certainly not true for every case. In fact seeing progress right from the beginning or after a short while is more often the exception instead of the rule.
However, this is no reason for losing heart because even though you might not be able to see your progress it does not mean that you are not making any. In other words, you might not be aware that you are making progress but you most certainly are.
Which brings us to why perseverance is so important. Due to the fact that we can't see our own progress until we see our goals fulfilled we need to persevere and put in effort every day in order to make it possible for us to actually achieve those goals.
In fact, whether you believe it or not, every time you put in some time and effort into something you are making progress and while that progress might be slow it is still something that is worth putting more time and effort into.
Giving up will only lead to one thing, putting you back in same position that you started and then, and only then, could you say that your time has been wasted. A better plan is to refocus your energy. Try something new or visit a new place if you feel that progress is too slow. But do keep on moving forward and sooner or later you will achieve the goals you've been pursuing
