HP Sprout, smart PC set to hit stores in US



NEW YORK: As HP Launched its latest smart PC HP Sprout, the PC is set to launch n US on November 9 in retailers stores.
The smart PC features a  23-inch touchscreen display with an intensive touch mate instead of regular mouse and keyboard.
HP Sprout has a radical new design with a projector and 3D cameras. The PC is available for pre-order online in the US, before being released in stores on 9 November, and costs $1,899 (£1,180). More country release dates are yet to be announced.
As far as features and specs are concerned the PC has Intel’s RealSense 3D, 14.6 megapixel camera, projector and an LED desk lamp. it also has a 3D and 2D scanner that can be operated either on screen or on mat.
It is powered by Intel Corei7 processor with 8GB of RAM and storage capacity of 1TB. The PC runs on Windows 8.1.
HP Sprout will launch with apps from Dreamworks Animation, Skype and Evernote. More will be added later.
HP also announced it will begin to share its 3D printing technology.
The technique, which the company claims can print 10 times faster and much cheaper than current products, will be shared with select manufacturing and technology partners to garner feedback before launching in 2016.
