Harvard is Hosting an Anal Sex Lecture and It's Awesome

Sex Week 2014, y'all

/

Harvard University is offering a lecture called "What What in the Butt: Anal Sex 101" as part of its annual Sex Week, designed to "promote a holistic understanding of sex and sexuality" [via RT].
According to the Harvard Sex Week Website, the class, which is not for-credit, will be taught by experts from local sex-positive store Good Vibrations, and will "dispel myths about anal sex and give you insight into why people do it and how to do it well."
The event is brought to the school by the Sexual Health Education & Advocacy throughout Harvard College (aka SHEATH, good one, guys), a student-run group designed to provide comprehensive education on sexuality and sexual wellness.
Of course, there are plenty of people who feel the classes offered at Sex Week are inappropriate and inessential, but this is the group's fourth time holding the educational courses, so that doesn't seem to bother them in the slightest.
The fact is, college students are going to be having all types of sex and there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to attend a lecture telling them how to do it safely, happily, and healthfully.
