What better way to celebrate life and death?
Día de los Muertos is an occasion to honor the
dead and celebrate life. What better way to do that than to toast with
one of these delicious cocktails? (And yes, there are some tequila
alternatives to the tequila-averse out there.) Salud!
1. Psarou Punch

6 ounces PAMA pomegranate liqueur
6 ounces Skinos mastiha liqueur
14 ounces pisco, such as Pisco Control C
6 ounces fresh lime juice
14 ounces sparkling wine or prosecco
20 sage leaves
1 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients together in a punch bowl. Mix with a ladle. Add ice and garnish with six wheels of pink grapefruit, lime and lemon.

2. Stillhouse Bloodbath

Ingredients:
2 ounce STILLHOUSE® Original Moonshine
3 ounce tomato juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt and pepper, to taste
3 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
2 drops Tabasco
Directions:Combine all ingredients and pour over ice.

3. Purple Paloma

Ingredients:lime wedge, for garnish
Hepp's Black Lava Salt, for garnish
1 ounce tequila
2 ounces Fresca
3 ounces grape juice
ice cubes
Directions:On a small plate, place black lava salt. Take a lime wedge and rub the lime around the top of the glass. Flip the glass over and coat the rim of the glass with the black lava salt. Fill glass with ice and pour tequila, Fresca, and grape juice. Stir and garnish with lime wedge and black lava salt.

4. Devil's Hammer

Ingredients:
1/2 ounce agave nectar
4 mint leaves
1/2 one lemon
1/2 one orange
1 1/2 ounces Cazadores Silver tequila
1 ounce lemon juice
1 ounce club soda
1/2 ounce cherry syrup
ice
Directions:
Muddle agave nectar, mint leaves, lemon, and orange in a cocktail shaker. Add tequila, lemon juice, and club soda. Shake well and serve in a chilled glass over ice. Finish with cherry syrup.

5. Demeter

Ingredients:
½ oz PAMA pomegranate liqueur
2 oz Lunazul Reposado Tequila
½ oz Campari
2 dashes angostura bitters
Serves: 1
Directions:
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Finish with lime zest expressed over the glass and garnish.
