If you are purchasing something that is used, you are purchasing an item either directly or indirectly from somebody who had surplus equipment. In many cases, it is purchased through an auction. Refurbished equipment is often of very high quality, because it is re-manufactured to higher specifications than new equipment. If you have the option of purchasing refurbished equipment, it may be to your benefit to do so but more than likely, it is going to be more expensive than used equipment.
Finally, make sure that you look for a seller that is reputable and is going to have your best interest in mind. There are many different options for purchasing used telecom equipment, and you should explore those options in advance of making a purchase. It will help you to save the money that you need to save and to know for a certainty that you are getting a high-quality item when you do make the purchase.
