Shatter a Myth About Friendship

"Will you be my lady?
Can I take you out with me?
I would really love to have some fun."
The bachelor next door was singing. I turned my attention back to the embroidering work I was on and thought he was a good singer afterall. The bachelor's party was just over and probably, he was still drunk.
His song continued, "I have seen no better face, my heart is very young, I am inspired by your warmth and care, I really miss you darn."
Peeking through the window, I saw he was preparing dinner. He saw me and said, "Hi lady, how do you like my song?"
"I like it quite a lot. I am impressed."
His expression was too cute for words.
While I was busy baking some pies for our evening together, the doorbell rang.
The sixteen year old next door was fresh out of her bath.
"I need a hair dryer. Do you have one?"
"Yes of course, please come."
"Take this, and keep it with you. I am back only late in the night."
"Really, can I ask what you are upto?"
"I am out for the evening with the neighbour next door."
"How come he's never invited me out? Amn't I a pretty dame?"
"Yes, you are, but he thinks you have boyfriends already."
"I did, but I don't any more."
"OK, better luck next time."
So she went her way and I got busy baking pies. At last, the doorbell rang a second time. Mr Handsome was waiting at the door.
"Hello lady, am I late?"
"No, you are not."
"Shall we start?"
"Yes, let's go."
Twenty-three year old Rihan and eighty year old Granny walked out of the door.
Lesson for all of us: There is no age for friendship. You could get along better with older folks because they are not as demanding as the younger folks are, and are more tolerant too. So don't think about the age, put yourself there before them and see how you could benefit from learning and being beside someone who has seen more of life and has more lessons to offer than the inexperienced folks you could be around. You are learning with them, but if you develop friendship with older people, you have a chance to learn FROM them. They on the other hand feel good too. They feel wanted and loved, and are entertained as well.
