One of the great ways of getting Internet traffic to your website is what is called article marketing. If you want to get your name out to the public and establish yourself as a professional in your chosen field, what you need to do is to start submitting articles that you have written to all the directories so that people can take you very seriously. This is one of the areas that I am working on this year and as the year 2014 approaches I plan to write more articles so that I can become an established author in my chosen field of affiliate marketing and fitness.

A. This first tip that I am going to give you is critical because as you write and publish your articles on the Internet, what you will receive in return is what we call publicity. People will look to you as an established author and that you will be taken seriously. If anyone has any kind of questions about the product you're promoting they will turn to you for answers.
B. Once you have established your publicity and that people see that you are an expert in the field that you have chosen, this will greatly enhance your credibility. This is a major advantage for you as an article writer so that when you submit to these online directories you will get special treatment and that you will get your articles approved quickly.
C. In this third step, once you have publicity and credibility tied together, this next point is called branding. Let's say for example that you have chosen to write on health and fitness, make sure that you write and publish multiple articles so that people when they see your articles on the search engines that they will take you as a establish expert in that particular field. In the marketing world this is called branding your product, website or yourself.
D. Another great way that you can be taken as an expert author in your chosen field is that when you have published your articles, they become live on that article directory listing and if some e-zine author or publisher is looking for a particular topic they will find it in the article directory. The craze that is going on now on the Internet is that people love to keep online journals called blogging in which people from countries all over the world can see what is going on in the lives of everyday people. Blogging is not only limited to online journals; people have used blogs to express their ideas and opinions about the topics that are going on in the world today. If a blogger was looking for fresh ideas to post on their blogs they will go to the search engines and if they find your article and see that the information is relevant to their blog then they will create what we call a back link that will lead back to your website.
F. This next step that I am going to talk about is search engine strategy and how it is important to your success as an affiliate marketer. Right now, if you have a website that you want to promote and you do not want to pay for traffic to come to your website, then what you need to do is to write articles and submit them so that people who are looking for information on a particular product will see your article and read it and if they find that it is useful, they will click on your link to your affiliate website and not only this, if your article contains content that is high quality, then other search engines, besides Google, will pick it up and your article will rank high in the search engines. So, be sure to always update your article or your website and put fresh content on there so that you can keep your visitors updated on news or promotions that are constantly changing every day.
