If you think you can't look glamorous and wear maternal clothing that accentuates your newfound beauty, you're sorely mistaken. We'll assume you're only going to be pregnant a few times in your life. That's not enough time to enjoy some clothing you could never wear at any other point. But what exactly are you supposed to wear and what looks right? What's just fashion taboo, what's passé and what's in? There are a dozen magazines out there dedicated to your pregnant looks. There are more sites than you can count shaking a stick at some color you shouldn't wear, accessories you must wear, brands you should try and how not to raid your husband's wardrobe. Little wonder then that it becomes difficult to decide what to wear, especially if you wish to go formal.
Moving on to the cut of the dress. Although many, if not most of the cuts you would wear if you were not pregnant still work when you're pregnant, there are certain that work a little better. A low cut neckline or backline, an empire waistline, side-ties or a ruched hemline below the tummy are all good choices. The trick, which might go against common logic, is to properly accentuate the curves and reveal just the right amount. Don't follow the misleading school of thought in which wearing loose dresses to hide the bump is the way to go. It's a beautiful time in your life, and with the appropriate cut you owe it to yourself to be maternally trendy and glamorous. Add a great pattern and you've got yourself an incredible evening dress.
Other factors come into play as well; material, transparencies, length, texture, accessories and so much more. At the end of it all, the best way to get the right evening dress is to go try on a few dozen of them (if you can find the energy to do so). The most important thing to keep in mind is that not only are you allowed to look exciting, but you owe it to yourself to know that there are very comfortable dresses that'll make you look stunning on that formal evening out. Now go find the perfect restaurant and surprise your partner with your newly adopted looks.
