Your treatment could be as simple as taking antibiotics, to having your tooth pulled or maybe even a root canal.
Besides helping heal the abscess the reason for doing a root canal is to save the tooth from being pulled out. If recommended by your dentist this may be an option for you to consider since no one wants to lose their tooth.
If you have some type of dental plan a root canal would be a good option to take because this procedure can be expensive. Your plan will help you with a good portion of the cost.
But if you don't have dental insurance or maybe a dental discount plan and you want to save your tooth you will have to pay for this method out of your own pocket.
