Tips for Sports Gambling

One thing Vegas does really well is know how to pick certain spreads for games. For those of you who are uncertain of what a spread is, it is points that the underdog in the game will receive making it more of an even match. This is what makes gambling so hard. For example, it would be easy to say the Denver Broncos is going to beat the Jacksonville Jaguar's. However, is the Jaguar's are +24 going into the game that does not make you so sure anymore. Another thing you can do is what is called a money line. This means you can bet the game with no spread involved, but this is way less risky and you do not win as much. If you were to bet $100 money line on the Broncos you would probably only win about $40 back so its high risk low reward. Where if you were to bet the Jaguar's money line and bet $100 you could come up around $240 which is high risk high reward. With this said I will get into what to look at and what sports seems to be the most profitable for the better.
1. Football- I find football to be the easiest sport as to whom you can tell will win the game. They only play once a week so every game is very important, unlike basketball and baseball where they play almost every other day. This allows you to follow each team for a whole week going into a game and see where their strengths and weaknesses are. They always have information as to whom has a good pass/rush defense and who does not. As well as top running and passing offenses. There is information on how many points allow and score each game as well. If you take all this into account you can figure out what may happen. This past weekend the Bears played the 2-8 Minnesota Vikings. Although it was a close game with the Bears getting +1 if you did research you would know the Bears D is vulnerable to the run and with the best running back in the league Adrian Peterson on the other side it would be a long day. Many people took the Bears, and although it came into OT Adrian Peterson and his 211 yards made it to much as they beat the Bears. Vegas is usually spot on with most spreads so make sure you do research before going into a game.
2. NCAA Basketball- I like to bet on NCAA Basketball for two main reasons. They play hard on defense and every game is important. Unlike the NBA each college game will affect your rankings and each team wants the best chance in the NCAA tournaments. The only hard part is making sure you know about teams who may be unranked. Just because a ranked opponent is going against a lower opponent there is no quarantine. Something I like to do for College Basketball is bet the Over/Under. This means you pick if they will score more or less points in the game that Vegas predicts. This is a good chance to look at points scored and allowed by each opponent. Especially early in the year when Vegas is uncertain how each team will come out the gate just like the rest of the world. In the end their is no quarantine, but you can play the odds.
As many may know sports gambling is one of the highest flowing cash systems we currently have operating in the U.S., with a lot of it still not marked in government systems. Nowadays, many young gamblers bet through another kid who is called a "bookie". A bookie is basically someone who will take all bets just like Vegas would.
